The challenge
FLOOSS had a clean product message for the end of the year: apply now, make your first payment in 2027. The problem is that every financing app in the region already says “pay later”. The phrase has become wallpaper. The brief was to make later mean something again — in Bahraini, to a Bahraini audience, in the places where people actually hear it.
The idea
بعدين؟ ليش لا! — Later? Why not! Every Bahraini knows the word baʻdain. It is what the mechanic says while your engine is smoking, what the plumber says with his head under your sink, what the dentist says while you are still in the chair. We built the film on that shared irritation: Fahad hears “later” three times in one day, each time more cheerfully than the last, until the word is unbearable. Then his wife says it about the app. Apply now. Pay — yes — later. The most annoying word in the country becomes the offer.
The film was written in Bahraini dialect and shot vertical first, framed for the phone screen it would live on: a 90-second hero reel with 30, 15 and 6-second cutdowns. The same three tradesmen were photographed on the same locations for the feed statics, story ads and the in-app banner, so the film and the feed are one world. Art direction held one rule across every piece: بعدين is always orange; الحين — now — and the money are always FLOOSS blue.
The result
One joke, every format: the hero reel and its cutdowns for reels and stories, four feed statics, story ads and the app benefit banner, each in Arabic and English with the Central Bank licensing line in place. No rate tables, no jargon — a word everyone already feels, flipped. How a single word carries a campaign is in the journal: the most annoying word in Bahrain. It is the way we build integrated campaigns, films and campaign photography in Bahrain.
The film
The full hero reel, as it ran on FLOOSS’s channels. Sound on.
Shot for the banner
Stills from the same day, same locations and same three tradesmen — wide lens, deadpan, lit like the film — so the feed and the reel read as one campaign.
On the feed
The statics: orange for later, blue for now, type kept off the faces and the action, the licensing line on every design.
