People imagine shoot days as chaos with good lighting. Ours are closer to choreography — and the choreography starts days before anyone touches a camera. Here's what a real week looks like inside the studio, because how an agency runs its week is how it will run your brand.

Sunday is for maps

The week opens on paper: shot lists against locations, locations against light, light against people's actual availability. When we filmed real professionals across a whole economy — seven shoot days, thirteen locations — the schedule wasn't logistics support, it was the creative. You get honest frames by arriving when the work is genuinely happening, and that's a planning decision, not a shooting one.

The recce is where films are actually made. Which wall takes the key light. Where the sun lands at 4pm. What the room sounds like. Surprises on set cost hours; surprises on the recce cost nothing.

Midweek, the set is the studio

On location, the studio compresses to whatever fits in the vans — and the mood matters as much as the gear. A set where a art director can climb a ladder to fix a prop line, where the runner's idea gets heard, where the client watches a monitor without anxiety: that set makes better film. Calm is a production value. You can see it in the footage.

And between the big builds, the daily machine never stops: the retainer content that ships on one-to-four-day turnarounds keeps its own lane, so a TVC week never starves the feed.

The week ends in the edit

Footage comes home and the second film begins — the one made in the edit bay. Selects the same night, assembly within days, because memory is an editor's best tool and it fades fast. Post lives in-house, which is why every cut and crop was already planned before the shoot: the edit executes a decision, it doesn't rescue one.

Then the weekend resets the board, and come Sunday the choreography starts again.
