Worlds, not posters.
Published 1 September 2026
Nobody books a table because of a poster. People book because a night promises to take them somewhere — and you can't promise that with a layout. You promise it with a world.
That's the operating principle behind our seasons with Botanica, a venue that reinvents itself so completely that regulars come back to a different place. For Halloween, the restaurant sank: The Sunken Empire, tentacles breaching the pergola, a wrecked kingdom under neon. For New Year's Eve it went celestial — Empire of Gold one year, the retro-astronaut Galaxy Paradise the next, a 360-degree world we carried from key visual to the night itself.
A theme is a decision. A world is a system.
The difference shows in the third deliverable. A theme survives the poster and dies on the menu card. A world has rules — a palette, a typography, a light, a logic — so every next surface designs itself. Door signage, table talkers, staff briefings, the photo moment by the entrance: when the world is coherent, guests do the marketing for you, because every corner is postable.
This is why we build event brands the way we build company identities: mark, system, application kit. The night is shorter than a brand's life, but the discipline is identical.
The venue underneath must hold
One thing makes seasonal reinvention safe: a core identity strong enough to disappear behind a costume and still be recognised. Botanica can sink, gild itself or leave orbit because Botanica — the brand underneath — never moves. Venues that skip that foundation don't get worlds; they get redecorations, and audiences feel the difference immediately.
Before your next season
Name the world, not the offer. "Ladies' night" is a slot; "The Sunken Empire" is a destination. Design the room before the artwork. If the world can't survive being stood in, it isn't a world. Plan the guest's camera roll. Decide what the photos will look like before the first render — that's your real media plan.
Have a venue and an ambitious calendar? Let's build what's next.
